I’m Rachel, comedian, podcast creator and trainer.

I spent a decade studio directing Today on BBC Radio 4.

I left the BBC in 2016 to create my science podcast, Level Up Human, now in its second series with The Physiological Society.

As a comedian, the BBC still comes up a lot. Last year I wrote about the BBC pips for The Boring Conference.

Here’s the talk, recreated at the Backyard Comedy Club for An Evening of Unnecessary Detail:

Every year I celebrate Towel Day, an annual celebration on the 25th May, as a tribute to the late author Douglas Adams (1952 – 2001).

On that day, fans around the universe carry a towel in his honour and then relax in the evening with a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster.

Here’s the recipe.

When I’m not gigging or homeschooling my kids, I teach working with the media and podcasting.

I send newsletters with articles I really enjoy, creativity tools and gig listings. Join below, follow me on twitter or get in touch at rach@rachelwheeley.com
